Please allow at least 3 days after a test being undertaken before requesting the results.
To comply with patient confidentiality, please be aware that the patient is the only person who can be given the test results, unless we have received prior written permission for someone else to do so.
If your test was requested by the Hospital or another service, you will need to contact them for the results as they will not be available to view on our system.
Referrals
Patients are able to request a referral and track the progress of a pre-existing referral by visiting our referrals section.
Pathology samples
All samples need to be brought to the practice before 2:30pm each day.
Getting your test results
If your test results show that you need more tests or treatment, we will contact you.
Once a doctor has reviewed your test results, you can view them:
- in your NHS account (through the NHS website or NHS App)
- in your SystmOnline account
- by phoning us on 01553 774 221 and we will tell you what the results are
- as a text message, if you have consented and it is applicable
